In line with the document, the area of plots of Moldova, regardless of their purpose and forms of ownership, made up 3 million 384.6 thousand hectares, including 228,300 hectares of irrigated lands and 69,200 hectares of drained ones and staying the same as compared with the past year.

As of January, 1, 2013, the Cadastre says, there were about 2 million 014.5 thousand hectares of agricultural lands in Moldova, up 5.6 thousand as compared with 2012 and 59.5% of a total area of lands of Moldova. Out of this amount, 1 million 695 thousand hectares were in private ownership, 270,8 thousand hectares belonged to the state and 48,7 thousand hectares were owned by administrative-territorial units.

A total area of lands of villages, towns and municipalities was 312.8 thousand hectares, 0.6 thousand hectares up as compared with 2012. Lands of industrial and transportation enterprises, and lands for special purposes made up 59.6 thousand hectares, 0.7 thousand ha up; the forestry lands amounted to 446.5 thousand hectares, staying the same as compared with 2012 and the lands of the reserve fund were 461.2 thousand hectares, 5.2 thousand hectares down.
