OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2013. “Preservation of existing stock of prospective mines is a priority of state policy,” the President noted.

In the course of the meeting on the occasion of the Day of Miner in Donetsk, the President stressed that no mine would be closed arbitrarily.

“Our task is to synchronize the restructuring of inefficient enterprises and the establishment of modern enterprises in this sphere,” the President emphasized.

According to him, closing of lossmaking coalmines will be held in parallel with the provision of new jobs for miners and preservation of the existing level of social protection.

“For many cities and villages, coal enterprises have a crucial importance. Thus, the state will do everything to preserve the potential of the given sphere for real economy and direct it to the new high-tech production,” the President noted.
