OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2013. CSC Phoenix announced today that China Changjiang Bunker Co, a joint venture between Sinotrans & CSC and Sinopec, has filed a lawsuit against the company and its subsidiary CSC Phoenix (Shanghai) at Wuhan Maritime Court, as they were unable to pay for bunkering fees.

China Changjiang Bunker has requested CSC Phoenix to repay bunkering fees of RMB86.25m and an overdue penalty of RMB1.72m, while requesting CSC Phoenix (Shanghai) to repay bunkering fees of RMB51.3m and an overdue penalty of RMB813,144.

Wuhan Maritime Court has approved the requests and ordered to freeze RMB90m bank deposits of CSC Phoenix or equivalent assets.

Li Jiahua, board secretary of CSC Phoenix said although China Changjiang Bunker has filed lawsuit against the company, it will continue to provide fuel to CSC Phoenix to keep normal operation of the company.
