OREANDA-NEWS. The Jingumae Residence, developed jointly by Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. NTT Urban Development Co. Ltd. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. was completed on July 31, 2013.

This upscale condominium of 18 aboveground and two underground stories with 220 units was built using an integrated design system to replace the Harajuku Danchi public housing complex of six four and five story buildings with 112 units, built in 1957 by the Japan Housing Corporation (now the Urban Renaissance Agency).

The Jingumae Residence is made up of two buildings, the conspicuously glamorous high rise tower side, and the dignified low rise residence side. In addition to its safe structure that uses Takenaka Corporation's patented corrugated steel place earthquake-resistant walls technology, a high standard for disaster preparedness is insured through measures including each floor being equipped with a storeroom of emergency supplies and the communal garden area having an emergency well, manhole toilets and benches that can double as grills.

As a high value added condominium in central Tokyo units are selling well, with over half of the 148 residential units for sale in the over 100 million yen price range and attracting interest both in Japan and from overseas.
