OREANDA-NEWS.   A delegation of ZF Friedrichshafen AG (Germany) headed by Werner Engl, Director of Sales and Application, has arrived at KAMAZ with a working visit.

The main purpose of the visit is to conduct negotiations with KAMAZ’s top managers on the subject of cooperation and hold a meeting with top managers of ZF KAMA Joint Venture established in partnership with the Kama automobile plant eight years ago.

The partners will discuss issues which will be brought up at a meeting of the Board of Directors of ZF KAMA JV. It will be held in Moscow on the 13th of September during the international specialized exhibition ComTrans-2013. Also, the partners will discuss an increase in volumes of gearbox production for KAMAZ vehicles. It is planned to hold meetings with Yury Klochkov, First Deputy Director General of KAMAZ; Irek Gumerov, Director of Development of KAMAZ; German Gilfanov, Director General of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY; other KAMAZ managers.

Besides, the delegation will see a new building of the joint venture the construction of which is coming to an end. It will enable to greatly expand production areas and, consequently, increase the volume of production. Besides, the opening of the new building will save the company’s budget as the enterprise is currently operating on rented areas. It should also be noted that the worldwide network of production subsidiaries of ZF Friedrichshafen AG includes only two enterprises with a combined conveyor. One of them is in ZF KAMA JV in Naberezhnye Chelny. Such a conveyor enables to produce two kinds of gearboxes – a 9-speed gearbox ZF Ecomid and a 16-speed gearbox ZF Ecosplit the production volume of which will also increase thanks to the expansion of areas. Another advantage is the opening of the company’s thermal production on the new ground (nowadays, the JV is using KAMAZ’s services). After the visit, the so-called “monitoring” of the construction process and the subsequent meeting of the board of directors, the parties will fix the date for opening the new building.
