OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2013. Scandinavian Airlines SAS increased the frequency on the route between Stockholm and Vilnius up to 12 weekly flights, i.e. two flights per day on the weekdays, and one flight per day on Saturdays and Sundays. Previously, the airline company operated 6 weekly flights on the said route, i.e. one flight per day every day of the week except Saturdays.

“In order to improve SAS services on the route between Stockholm and Vilnius, right after holiday season, when out business customers are getting back to the usual office routine, we doubled the frequency on this route”, said Ruta Juciene, SAS General Manager Baltic States.

On weekdays SAS planes will take off at Stockholm Arlanda airport at 08:35 and 14:45, and they will depart Vilnius International Airport at 11:45 and 17:55. On Saturdays and Sundays SAS aircraft will depart the capital city of Sweden once per day, at 08:35 and 17:55 accordingly. On Saturdays SAS passengers will depart Vilnius for Stockholm at 11:45, and on Sundays at 21:05. The flight will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Due to additional frequency, passengers from Vilnius will have more suitable connections via Stockholm with other European cities such as Brussels, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, also with the cities in Sweden and Finland.

In Lithuania Scandinavian Airlines SAS are operating 44 weekly flights in total: 19 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen, 13 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen, as well as 12 weekly flights between Vilnius and Stockholm.
