OREANDA-NEWS. The shares of Aras Electricity Distribution, which distributes electricity to 7 cities in the East, have been transferred to Kiler and Calik.

Kiler and Calik Groups have won the privatization tender of Aras Electricity Distribution Company, which serves over 800 thousand members in 7 cities throughout East Anatolia, with an amount of 128.5 million dollars and have paid this amount in advance yesterday and signed the share transfer agreement. The Directorate of Privatization Administration, which had organized the tender for Aras Electricity, which encapsulated the cities of Erzurum, Agri, Ardahan, Bayburt, Erzincan, Kars and Igdir, has been won by a tender proposal of 128.5 million dollars by Kiler Group which has gone into a partnership with Calik Electricity Distribution Investments Inc. (CEDAS), and have taken over with the assigned signatures on 28th June.

Kiler Shopping Services, the company of Kiler Group and CEDAS Electricity, the company of Calik Group, which are partners of Aras Energy Investments Inc., have initiated their work in the region. In the statement made on behalf of the new Executive Board of the Company, the following was stated: “We are setting off with the great responsibility and excitement of providing more quality services for the hundreds of thousands members of the Eastern region of our country”.

According to the data of the year 2012, this region which has 815,168 members consumes almost 2 billion kWh of electricity annually. The statement continued as follows: “We intend to become a company with high environmental awareness, respectful of social values, working in a manner necessary of public social responsibility, together with a model of swift and effective growth and oriented to produce more values”.

It was also made clear in the statement that “modernisation, reorganisation, carrying the understanding of modern services to a higher level and worldwide quality and efficiency” was the medium-term goal. Furthermore, it was also stated that “customer satisfaction to be held as a top priority has been given great importance in terms of our objectives”.
