OREANDA-NEWS. FHI Announces Production, Japan Sales and Export Results for July 2013

Production in July 2013
Domestic production: 57,529 units (up 13.8% year-on-year)
Overseas production: 7,761 units (down 4.3% year-on-year)
Total: 65,290 units (up 11.3% year-on-year).

Production in Jan-Jul 2013
Domestic production: 368,001 units (up 11.5% year-on-year)
Overseas production: 101,556 units (down 4.5% year-on-year)
Total: 469,557 units (up 7.6% year-on-year).

Led by strong demand for the Forester and Impreza models, July domestic production rose year over year for the 7th straight month, setting an all-time record for the month of July. Overseas production declined from a year ago for the third month in a row, but total global production grew year over year for the 7th consecutive month, posting an all-time July production record.

Japan Sales in July 2013
Passenger vehicles: 11,651 units (up 14.3% year-on-year)
Mini vehicles: 4,844 units (down 11.2% year-on-year)
Total: 16,495 units (up 5.4% year-on-year).

Japan Sales in Jan-Jul 2013
Passenger vehicles: 78,267 units (up 34.8% year-on-year)
Mini vehicles: 33,560 units (down 35.8% year-on-year)
Total: 111,827 units (up 1.3% year-on-year)

Driven by strong sales of the Forester and other popular models including the Subaru XV, domestic sales of passenger cars increased from a year ago for the 14th straight month. Mini vehicle sales declined year over year for the third month in a row. Total Japan sales rose from the previous year for the 4th consecutive month.

Export in July 2013: 41,572 units (up 15.9% year-on-year)
Export Export in Jan-Jul 2013: 258,135 units (up 14.1% year-on-year)

Propelled by the continued strong sales in North America, July CBU exports set an all-time monthly record for the second straight month.
