OREANDA-NEWS. The Government of Belarus has raised the ceiling prices of certain kinds of bread products by 10% starting August 29. The move is intended to compensate for the increase in prices of basic materials, the Economy Ministry of Belarus said in a corresponding resolution.

Bread prices were last raised on July 12, 2013 by 10%.

Besides, Belarus raises the bottom prices of hard liquors by 11.1%

The minimum rack price of Belarus-made alcoholic beverages goes up by 11.1% to Br30,000 per half-litre (USD 3.35, VAT not included).

The resolution applies to alcoholic beverages produced and sold in Belarus.

The retail price of that type of product remains unchanged at Br38,000 (USD 4.25 including VAT).

The minim price of imported alcoholic beverages stands at Br54,000 per half-litre (USD 6.03, VAT not included).

Hard liquor prices were last raised in July 2012 by 28.4%.
