OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' average wage in nominal terms reached 5,450,200 Belarusian rubles (Br) in July 2013, or U.S. USD 610.32 at the monthly average rate of the National Bank, up 5.6% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went up 4.6% on the month. In July 2013, the average wage grew 20% on the year.

The highest average salary in the country is in Minsk - Br6.969 million (USD 780.5, up 4.7% on month).

Regionally, the highest average salary is in Minsk Region - Br5.498 million (USD 615.7, up 7.1% on month), while the lowest average salary reported from Brest Region - Br4.804 million (USD 537.96, up 6.8%).

In manufacturing industries, monthly wages averaged out at 5.956 million rubles (USD 666.98, up 6.3%), in construction 7.202 million rubles (USD 806, up 3.7%), in transport and telecoms 6.289 million rubles (USD 704.31, up 6.4%), in agriculture 4.316 million rubles (USD 483.27, up 7.2%).

The highest average salary in Belarus' industries in June 2013 was Br10.551 million - USD 1,182, up 7.1% (production of oil, nuclear materials and coke), Br8.128 million - USD 910.22, up 7.3% (production of chemicals), Br6.820 million - USD 718.97, up 6.2% (metallurgy), Br6.377 million - USD 714.13, up 4.4% (production of vehicles).
