OREANDA-NEWS. Armada Soft, a member of Armada OAO (MICEX-RTS: ARMD), announces the signing of a contract with JSC Klimov, a developer of aircraft engines for most of Mil and Kamov brands of helicopters.

The contract provides for carrying out research related to development of a software system for transfer and analysis of telemetry data from power units (engines and control equipment) of helicopters and aircraft. Diagnostic data can be used for timely deciding on the necessity of repair, thus increasing the efficiency of using the power unit and flight safety.

The condition of the power unit is constantly being monitored by a large number of sensors and systems. About 200 megabytes of data important from the point of view of obtaining information to improve efficiency of power units can be gathered during one hour of the engine's operation.

"Specialists of Armada Soft will develop the concept of the system, which will provide for the transfer via encrypted communication channels of parametric data from power units operated worldwide to the research center of JSC Klimov, where the data will be stored and processed centrally. The accumulated data will be automatically analyzed by the statistical processing subsystem based on Deductor analytical platform. Based on the analysis, the specialists of the center take decisions, which are then transmitted back to the airfields", said Ivan Evtyukhin, Head of Analytical Systems Division of Armada Soft.

"Modern information technologies opened up new possibilities for evaluation of the technical condition of aircraft engines. The system under development will allow us to obtain promptly the operational information and analyze it in view of the statistics for the entire engine park, which will significantly increase the reliability of our aviation equipment. The research being currently carried out will also help us to determine the future directions for development of such diagnostic systems", said Stanislav Konashkov, Deputy Chief Designer at JSC Klimov.
