OREANDA-NEWS. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has been ranked as the “Best Company by country” and its CMD, Shri R.N. Nayak, as” Best CEO” of All-Asia in Power Sector Category during the year 2013 by Institutional Investors. The Institutional Investors is a North American entity, rated as the number one publisher on international financial market matters. POWERGRID has been ranked 25 overall and Shri R. N. Nayak ranked by sell-side analysts in the Best CEO category. The ranking has been done on the basis of votes casted by Institutional Investor's 2013 All-Asia Executive Team comprising of Money Managers and Investment Professionals at securities firms and financial institutions across non-Japanese Asia from over 75 institutions.

R. N. Nayak said “POWERGRID is making its presence felt in the Indian power sector as well as international arena, despite strong headwinds and this recognition will motivate the Company and its employees to set their efficiency-bar higher in all future endeavours.”

Participants in this survey were invited to nominate up to four CEOs, CFOs, IR professionals and companies in each sector. All votes were weighted by place and aggregated to produce two distinct rankings (buy side, sell side) for Best CEO, Best CFO, Best IR Professional and Best IR Company. To be eligible, a company must be incorporated in Asia ex-Japan and traded on a corresponding Asian exchange.

Survey results reflect the opinions of 991 money managers and investment professionals at some 550 buy-side firms, and approximately 600 sell-side analysts. Executives are cited at the companies and in the positions they held at the conclusion of polling. The names of those surveyed and the institutions they work for are kept confidential to ensure their continuing cooperation. Voters must meet eligibility requirements, and winners must achieve a minimum vote count. All ballots were subject to review by II's Research Operations Group, and final results were inspected by an independent auditor.
