OREANDA-NEWS. Igor Vayn, CEO of Renaissance Capital, participated in a meeting attended by President of Russia Vladimir Putin, to discuss the social and economic development of the Primorsky Krai on 31 August.

In the meeting, Igor Vayn presented the president with an independent, expert opinion on one of the largest projects in Russia’s Far East - the Vostochnaya Neftechimicheskaya Company (VNKH), implemented by the country’s number-one oil company, Rosneft. Renaissance Capital is acting as a financial advisor and independent expert on the petrochemical complex construction project.

“The project is absolutely crucial for the Primorsky Krai as it will drive creation of a business ecosystem with tens of thousands new jobs, give a strong boost to gross regional product and make the region self-sufficient in terms of petrochemical production,” said Igor Vayn. “Moreover, the project will help to support the status of Rosneft as one of the majors in Asia-Pacific, and generate around RUB1trn of budget revenues to public budgets at all levels, by 2030.” Renaissance Capital fully supports the project and is prepared to further promote it by finding partners and arranging the funding, Mr. Vayn added.
