OREANDA-NEWS. At the awards ceremony of the “Dinheiro’s Best” yearbook, held in Sao Paulo, Petrobras was voted the best company in the Fuel, Oil and Gas industry. The Executive Manager for Accounting, Marcos Menezes, represented us.

This is the tenth edition of the yearbook, which is published by IstoE Dinheiro. To reach this ranking, companies listed were evaluated pursuant to five management criteria: financial sustainability, human resources, innovation and quality, environmental responsibility, and corporate governance.

The data provided by the managers were tabulated and analyzed by Escola Trevisan de Negocios, Economatica, and Boa Vista Informacoes Financeiras. The ranking works on a point system, in which each indicator has a specific weight and corporations are compared only with others of their same industry.

In total, 33 companies were awarded, in 27 industries. The top five companies in each dimension evaluated and the Company of the Year were also highlighted. The special 2013 edition also brings the thousand largest companies operating in Brazil, according to Economatica and Boavista Services.

Attending the event was the vice president of Brazil, Michel Temer; Finance Minister, Guido Mantega; Sports Minister, Aldo Rebelo; Culture Minister, Marta Suplicy; the head minister of the Social Communications Department of the Presidency of the Republic, Helena Chagas; Labor and Employment Minister, Manoel Dias, in addition to other authorities and executives.
