OREANDA-NEWS. The issues of the intra-division collaboration and outsourcing were treated during the August session of the management of the UEC MC’s “Civil engines division” (CED). The session was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Ilya Fedorov, NPO Saturn CEO, head of CED with the participation of Sergey Popov, chief executive officer of Perm Motor Plant (PMZ), vice-chairman of CED, Aleksandr Inozemtsev, Aviadvigatel CEO and other board members.

The members of the CED management board revised the main objectives of the ongoing intra-division collaboration and outsourcing pertaining to the unification of production processes and the purchased equipment in an attempt to avoid any redundancy among the CED companies. The participants of the meeting decided to invite Christel Gayet, a Snecma officer who also functions as NPO Saturn deputy production director to speak at the CED board session. In the frame of the effective contracts of rendering services by the head company to the enterprises within the division it was decided to organize a visit of the NPO Saturn and Snecma production sites by the employees of PMZ with the purpose of acquiring first-hand knowledge of the business processes adopted in these companies.

Among other issues on the agenda of the CED board meeting were the budget execution in the first half of 2013, review of the CED budget of 2014-2015, and a number of other topics.
