OREANDA-NEWS. During 8 months in 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 2,466,900 passengers representing a 14.1% growth compared to the same period in 2012. Passenger traffic on domestic routes made up 1,449,675 passengers (+7.1%), on international routes - 1,017,225 (+25.8%).

In August 2013, the airport passenger traffic increased by 16% compared to the same period of the previous year and totalled 427,304 passengers. As reported, 260,627 passengers were served on domestic routes (+13.6%), while on international routes - 166,677 (+20.1%).

In January-August of the current year, the airport provided operation of 26,246 ATMs (+8.2%), in August only - 5,154 ATMs (+14.6%).

Year-to-date, the airport reports of 19,417 tons of cargo and mail handled (+7%), including 2,537 tons in August only (+1%).

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers and handle over 35 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
