OREANDA-NEWS. The KAMAZ-65117 KAMATEYNER vehicle made by KAMAZ in cooperation with ROSTAR passed a performance test in FSUE Russian Post.

The truck was tested on the ground of the largest sort facility with 1600 employees in Lvovsky settlement located 30 km away from Moscow on Simferopol Highway. It was specially prepared to satisfy Russian Post’s needs: with a trailer, two swap bodies and an increased air suspension travel.

According to Daniyar Savatulin, Director General’s Adviser at FSUE Russian Post, the topic of the use of KAMAZ’s KAMATEYNER project greatly interested the Russian largest state transporter of cargoes. To date, the company’s truck fleet includes over 15 thousand units of equipment, the major part of which is KAMAZ vehicles. Mr. Savatulin noted that KAMATEYNER vehicles with demountable bodies could find their use in some areas.

It should be recalled that the first KAMAZTEYNER project passed tests in ZhelDorEkspeditsiya – the Russian largest forwarding company. The company’s experts have already assessed an increased volume of the KAMAZTEYNER body, its advantages, and also the driver’s comfort and ride quality of the vehicle with an air suspension.

The KAMATEYNER project is a new innovation product which can become the main way to attain goals of Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period to 2030. Its aim is to increase efficiency of transportation systems 2-4 times, also due to a 2-3 times increase of an overall speed of supplies from a sender to a customer. Implementation of the project will enable to lower power consumption of vehicles by 30% and increase profitability of transportation twice or thrice.
