OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2013. Valdis Dombrovskis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, and Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland, will discuss bilateral cooperation, including region’s energy and transport projects, economic situation in Europe and matters of foreign relations. The Latvian Prime Minister will participate at the annual Economic Forum in Krynica on September 3.

The Prime Minister will participate in the opening plenary session Towards a New Deal of the 23rd Economic Forum devoted to the changes caused by the global economic crisis. Other participants include Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of Thailand and the Executive Director of RWE Polska S.A.

Forum’s participants will discuss the current fundamental changes in the economy, society and democracy caused by the financial crisis, and action scenarios of various countries aimed at improving their economic situation.

The Economic Forum is one of key events in Europe involving senior public officials and policy and business experts. In the period of September 3-5 about 150 discussions, plenary sessions and thematic events are planned relating to various macro-economic aspects, international policies, energy sector, innovations and health care.
