OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2013. The list of the items is going to be approved by Cabinet ministers on September, 11. It includes 190 items, including companies from the energy sector, wine and tobacco branches, transportation and communication sectors, and other fields.

In particular, shares in the following state-owned enterprises and companies are to be put for sale: North and North-West Power Networks, Heating Station Nord, Costesti Hydro Power Plant, Moldtelecom, Air Moldova, Aeroport Catering, Aeroport Handling, Barza Alba, Aroma, Tutun-CTC, Vinuri Ialoveni, Glass Container Company, and some canning factories and sugar mills. Besides, the government is going to put for sale its shares in12 road companies, Gara Nord, Unic, Floare-Carpet, Gjuvaier, Vibpopribor, Fabrica de sticla din Chisinau, Farmaco, Moldcinema.

The Constructorul sanatorium in Chisinau, the Moldova sanatoria in Truskavets and Odessa, the Sanatatea sanatorium in Sergeevka, the Chisinau hotel and other public-owned facilities are also going to be privatized. As the list is approved, the process of denationalization through investment tenders and the Stock Exchange of Moldova will be unfolded. Privatizing public-owned assets is part of structural reform, the Ministry of Economy states.

The reform aims to make the enterprises to be sold more efficient and to attract investments to develop them.
