OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2013. The list includes enterprises of the energy complex, wine and tobacco industries, transport and communication, etc.

In particular, it is provided to sell shares of the following state enterprises and companies: Northern and North- West electricity networks, HEC- Nord, Costesti HES, Moldtelecom, Air Moldova, Aeroport Catering, Aeroport Handling, Barza Alba, Aroma, Tutun-CTC, Vinuri Ialoveni, Glass Container Company, a number of sugar mills and canneries. It is planned to sell 12 road enterprises, Gara Nord, Unic, Floare-Carpet, Gjuvaier, Vibpopribor, Fabrica de sticla din Chisinau, Farmaco, Moldcinema.

It is also expected to sell sanatorium Constructorul in Chisinau, motels "Moldova" in Truscavet and Odessa, sanatorium Sanatatea in Sergeevca, hotel Chisinau and other state property objects. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar more than 30 objects which were previously privatized or liquidated in the process of reorganization were excluded from the list.

At the same time, the list includes a number of objects that were previously excluded from the list of state property objects not subject to privatization. After the approval of the list of the named objects, the process of their privatization will start by means of the investment competitions and the Stock Exchange of Moldova. Valeriu Lazar stressed that the political decision on privatization of certain objects had been taken before, when the Parliament approved the list of the objects not subject to privatization.

The Minister of Economy added that the privatization process is a structural reform, which main target is to improve the efficiency of enterprises and attraction of investments in their development. He also reminded that over some years many businesses that earlier remained in the lists of state objects not subject to privatization, have shown dismal financial-economic indicators and they require private investment for the development. It is expected to receive about 1 billion lei from privatization of the state assets.
