OREANDA-NEWS. September 14 is celebrated as 'Hindi Diwas' to mark the importance of Hindi language. It was back in 1949, that the constituent assembly decided to acknowledge Hindi as the official language and in 1950, the Constitution of India adopted Hindi in Devanagri Script as the official language of the union.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas (Sep 14, 2013), Tata Steel's Corporate Affairs & Communications department took a quantum leap in terms of reaching out to the Company's employee fraternity through Hindi language and launched the Hindi Intranet.

Chief Guests for the occasion, Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, Dy. VPCS, Tata Steel, and Mr. P N Singh, President, Tata Workers' Union jointly launched the Intranet and applauded the new initiative and also expressed confidence in the new infrastructure as an enabler to further boost the communication set-up. Tata Steel's senior executives, Union office bearers were also present on the occasion.

This Hindi Intranet aims at disseminating Company related information in Hindi language and will definitely provide impetus to very essence of Hindi language as a powerful medium of communication.
