OREANDA-NEWS. Saransk branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company made a treaty of insuring exhibition values with Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts named after Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia. The treaty provides insurance protection of 17 works of the genius sculptor. These works will be delivered from Saransk to Manor Museum of People's artist of the USSR A. A. Plastov (Prislonikha village, Karsunsky district, Ulyanovsk region) for being exhibited during the personal exhibition of S. Erzia's works.

The policy of insurance provides the exhibit items protection on terms of responsibility for all risks, following wall-to-wall coverage. That means that the insurance protection will be provided during the whole period of the event's operation and preparations. The insurance coverage includes damage, total loss, and loss of a part or all of the cultural values that may take place for any reason.

Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia (real surname is Nefyodov, 1876-1959) is an outstanding sculptor, master of sculptures made of tree, and representative of modern style. Erzia's works formed at the turn of the 20th century and deals with universal analysis of the human's nature. The master thoroughly studied the state of a human's soul, people's emotions and feelings, which all took place in his works. Humanistic orientation of Erzia's artworks defined his popularity not only with his contemporaries but also with following generations.

S. Erzia's personal exhibition will open at Manor Museum of People's artist of the USSR A. A. Plastov on September 25, 2013, and will operate till November 20, 2013.
