OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2013. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko has attended the opening of the Eleventh International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: Present and Future", which is held in Kyiv on September 24 -26 of 2013.

Opening the event, the Vice Prime Minister read out the address to the participants on behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

"Fuel and energy complex plays a key role in modernizing the economy, implementation of infrastructure projects and the implementation of priority social and economic programs of strategic importance to our country. Ensuring energy security, increasing energy efficiency, resource conservation and optimization of mineral resources are among the most pressing problems of the national economy," said in the greeting of the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

"I think that the traditional holding of large-scale exhibition will contribute to the speedy modernization and technological upgrading of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine" Mr. Boyko quotes Prime Minister.

"I take this opportunity to thank everyone who is working to strengthen the energy potential of our country," said in the greeting of Mykola Azarov to the guests and participants of the Forum.

On the occasion of the opening the Forum Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety Mykola Martynenko, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Serhiy Cheh and Ambassador, Head of the Permanent Delegation of European Union to Ukraine Ian Tombinski officially cut the ribbon.

Mr. Boyko also familiarized with the exhibition, organized by the Forum.
