OREANDA-NEWS.  September 27, 2013. Ukraine and Belarus will create a transnational corporation for the production of sophisticated agricultural machinery. The corresponding agreement has been reached during a meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich in Astana.

Thus Mykola Azarov promised that during his official visit to Belarus he would include into the Ukrainian delegation industrialists and financiers who could take part in this project.

"Ukraine has about 20 agreements on FTA with foreign countries, and none of them has any doubt and objections. So, you should also take the same a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU. It does not reduce the level of customs protection. We will reduce it over a long period," Mykola Azarov said.

In turn, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said: "I would not like to see in the estimates of FTA with the EU sweeping judgments sounded. We should be pragmatic and discuss specific headings and impact of the new tariff situation on the trade regime. "

Belarus, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries are showing interest in a possible conclusion of an FTA between Ukraine and the EU. This is due to the fact that their business wants to use the benefits from such treatment, as the production, which will be organized in Ukraine and the products that will be produced will be able to enter duty-free into the European market.
