The Combat Sambo Russia Cup is a qualifying tournament, part of whose purpose is to select the national team for the Combat Sambo World Cup in 2014.

This is the second year in a row that Uniastrum has lent its support to the Moscow Sambo Federation, whose mission is to promote this essentially Russian martial art form, now marking 75 years since acquiring official sport status . Sambo is firmly rooted in Russian culture, has a rich history, and is underpinned by a philosophy devoted to self-development, renewal, and a receptiveness to all that is best.

Supporting and promoting sport has long been a key area of Uniastrum’s social program. Since its inception 19 years ago, the Bank has supported numerous sporting events, including the Russian Presidential Sambo Cup, the International Chess Tournament, and matches featuring the Dynamo Moscow football club.
