OREANDA-NEWS. The first ultramodern metro mockup, performed by Siemens company, is presented at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre. The metro car of the future, which will appear in the Moscow subway in a few years, will be available for visitors of the Center till of October. Siemens plans to produce new metro cars together with the “Russian Machines” corporation. Both companies intend to cooperate for the Metro Moscow tender and plan to set up a joint venture in the Moscow region.

The new-generation vehicle was developed especially for Metro Moscow. The Russian capital announced its intention to procure up to 3,000 new metro cars until 2020. The tender is expected to be issued by the end of 2013.

The mockup is built in full size on the base of Inspiro platform. The manufacturer promises to provide the capital's subway with environmental friendly trains that possess an excellent sound insulation, improved air conditioning and minimal vibration.

The exposition of the mockup will be open near the pavilion number 66 “Culture” by October 29, from 12:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 20:00 at the weekend. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the visitors will have a possibility to get inside the wagon. The exhibition is free of charge.
