OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company branch in Abakan prolonged property insurance agreement and concluded agreement of compulsory third-party liability insurance of hazardous facility owners with Kurort Ozero Shira OJSC.

The comprehensive property insurance agreement for the total of over RUB 69 m provided coverage for 18 real estate facilities, including bedroom and medical building, summer cottages, and canteen building. The property was insured against fire, lightning stroke, gas explosion, flood, natural disasters, malicious actions by third parties, thefts, running-down by vehicles, falling of piloted objects.

Pursuant to the second agreement totally within RUB 10 m of liability limit insurance protection was provided for the owner's liability for hazardous facility accident during boiler room operation.

The insurance program allows of indemnification of damage to life, health or property of third parties, including personnel of the enterprise, due to hazardous facility accident. According to current laws, indemnification limit regarding damage to life and health of each victim is up to RUB 2 m.

Obligation of hazardous facility owners to insure their third-party liability is regulated by the federal law (No.225 dated 27/7/2010). New rules for compulsory hazardous facility insurance are effective as of January 1, 2012 for commercial enterprises and January 1, 2013 for governmental organizations.
