According to him, on September, 27, Friday, a delegation of Moldovan experts was staying in Moscow on a visit and outcomes of the visit may be considered as positive.

“The visit itself has got the things moving forward", the Director of Rospotrebnadzor said. As he notes, the parties discussed measures Moldova is taking to ensure the due quality of its wine. The parties arranged to go on harmonizing the wine quality and safety requirements. ‘We have arranged to exchange with the information”, Gennady Onishchenko said.

This week, he noted, Rospotrebnadzor experts may pay a visit to Moldova to assess capabilities of the wine quality control system here. The visit may lay foundations for further advancement, the Director of the Russian agency said. “Up to date all has been as arranged. Let’s see what we will have further", Gennady Onishchenko said when asked about the possibility to again let the Moldovan wine to the Russian market.

Let’s remind that on September, 10 Russian announced the ban on deliveries of Moldovan alcohol to the Russian market due to its quality had provoked objections. Russia is the major consumer of Moldovan wine, which bought nearly one third of the Moldovan export.
