OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 1.1% on the year in January-August 2013 to 395.1 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 43.754 billion at the central bank's exchange rate), an official with Belarus' National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-August 2013 decreased 4.8% on the year to Br403.5 trillion (USD 44.684 billion).

Farm output reduced 2.8% to Br60.4 trillion (USD 6.689 billion).

The government plans to see the GDP grow 8.5% in 2013.

In 2012, Belarus' GDP grew 1.5% on the year to 527.4 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 59.126 billion).
