OREANDA-NEWS. In October, 2013 PJSC “Ukrsotsbank”, which operates under the UniCredit Bank trade mark, joined the “Savings Day” international initiative.

The event organized by the Independent association of Bankers under the authority of National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and under the support of German Bank for Development KfW, runs in Ukraine for the second time. The main aim of the Global Day of Savings is to stimulate ideas of money saving and to attract attention of different state and private companies to the need of combining the efforts by means of carrying out the events for Ukrainian population concerning the increasing of financial literacy level.

PJSC “Ukrsotsbank” as a participant of international initiative has developed and implemented the “Father and Sons” special deposit offer. The offer is valid from October 1, 2013 up to October 31, 2013. In the frames of the program, financial institution gives clients a bonus to deposit in the amount of 0,5% when the client shows the birth certificate or drawing on the “Savings” topic of his/her child. The additional rate for providing a certificate of birth and a drawing can be summed up.

Lyubov Syrovatskaya, Head of Individuals Department in PJSC “Ukrsotsbank”, UniCredit Bank™, commenting the participation of the bank in the initiative, noted: “Of course we are interested to take part in such an initiative. It is pleasing that the state takes care of financial literacy of population from their very childhood. We, as a Bank participant of IANU and as bank that often participates in financial activities for population, support this striving. We provide practical and simple solutions for our smallest clients a well”.

The Global Savings Day is celebrated on October, 31. Its history goes to October, 1924, when the representatives of savings banks from 29 counties of the world gathered in Milan for the first international specialized congress. The first savings day was held in Ukraine in 2012 with attendance of 16 local financial institutions.
