OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian managers association and the Kommersant publishing house have presented a rating of Russia's best managers. This time the traditional “TOP-1000 Russian managers” list was joined by a “TOP-1000 regional company executives” rating. The 14th annual rating saw the CEO's of some Yaroslavl businesses in it. Among which was Ilya Fedorov - NPO Saturn chief executive officer, head of the “Civil engines division” as part of the United Engine Corporation. For reminders, Mr. Fedorov is also head of the Yaroslavl branch of the Russian union of mechanical engineers.

Over the past ten years this rating has served to distinguish the most professional country's executives, unquestionable leaders in their respective fields of competence. The goal is to come up with an independent, unbiased and comprehensive evaluation of the professional level of Russia's senior executives which reflects the professional aptitude of the companies' leaders while taking into account the modern-day particularities of Russian business.

The high ranking of the NPO Saturn CEO is validated by the company's initiative aimed at creating a new corporate image, support of the global UEC organizational transformation and paving a solid foundation for the company's future development.

The year 2012 saw completion of a crucial milestone in Saturn's reorganization which gave way to the creation of three product divisions and launched the development of 6 centers of industrial excellence. The purpose of reorganization is to boost the company's overall efficiency through focusing on the customer's needs during the entire product lifecycle, improving the company's overall competitiveness and through the production process optimization based, among others, on the breakthrough principles of program-project management and Lean production.

With support and direct involvement of the Yaroslavl regional and local Rybinsk administration, NPO Saturn is actively implementing the program of development of a Yaroslavl region territorial cluster dubbed “Gas turbine machinery and power engineering” playing the role of the cluster's integrator.

Back in October 2012, the United Engine Corporation created a “Civil engines” division comprising NPO Saturn, Aviadvigatel, Perm motor plant and some other enterprises technologically related to the Perm companies. NPO Saturn was assigned the role of the division's integrator.

NPO Saturn is actively collaborating with the companies where it is a shareholder such as: Saturn - Tooling Plant (SatIZ), The New Tooling Solutions (NIR) and The Omsk Design Bureau. The outcome of that initiative is a substantial increase in the order portfolio of all the aforementioned companies.

Along with serial production, NPO Saturn finds resources for creating an R&D backlog aimed at the development of new cutting-edge products which will come to replace the company's revenue-service engines reaching the end of their designed life. While steadily improving its financial performance, NPO Saturn is conscious about the well-being of its employees, their families, the city and the region.

NPO Saturn's production volume and sales indicators following the results of 2012 including the first half of the current year show and prove the validity of the strategy and tactics adopted by the company. The preliminary data for the first 6 months of 2013 (compared to the same period of 2012) shows that the production volume has more than doubled while the revenue has increased by 2.5. The company's secured order portfolio allows to forecast a further increase in the production and sales volume both in 2013 and in 2014-2015.
