OREANDA-NEWS. Mr. Norio Sasaki, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toshiba, visited the construction site of the transformers plant (joint venture of Power Machines OJSC and Toshiba Corporation).

The event was also attended by Nikolay Shvetz, Vice Chairman of the Board of FGC UES JSC and Andrey Pishchikov, Director General of Izhora Transformers LLC.

Toshiba Corporation representatives visited production and testing facilities of the plant, office buildings, checked out the progress in construction and fitting out of the production facility. A ceremony of planting Norway maples – the first trees at the new enterprise territory – was held after the official part.

Let us recall that the preparation for the plant start-up in its final stage now. The installation of process equipment in the production and test facilities is in its full swing. The administration and amenity building is put into operation and fit-out works in the administration and designers office building are nearing completion. Arrangement of engineering utilities proceeds to completion. Activities on the territory beautification are underway.

The first transformer will be produced as soon as in Q4 2013.  The transformer will be operated at the new production facility of Power Machines OJSC in the Metallostroy industrial area.  Under the order of Power Machines OJSC, two transformers of this type will be produced.

Commissioning of the transformer plant is scheduled for the end of 2013, launch of production – for 2014. Total amount of investment into the project is over 5 bln roubles.
