OREANDA-NEWS. During nine months in 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 2,833,302 passengers representing a 14.5% growth compared to the same period in 2012. Passenger traffic on domestic routes made up 1,669,688 passengers (+8.2%), on international routes - 1,163,614 (+25%).

In September 2013, the airport passenger traffic increased by 17.5% compared to the same period of the previous year and totalled 366,402 passengers. As reported, 220,013 passengers were served on domestic routes (+16.2%), while on international routes - 146,389 (+19.6%).

In January-September of the current year, the airport registered 30,246 ATMs (+9.7%), while in September alone - 4,000 ATMs (+20.1%).September 27, 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport demonstrated the absolute record of daily aircraft movements during the last 20 years having registered 166 ATMs (average performance - 130-140 ATMs per day).

Year-to-date, the airport reports of 21,653 tons of cargo and mail handled (+6%), including 2,236 tons in September only.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers and handle over 35 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
