OREANDA-NEWS. October 08, 2013. Swedbank has appointed Dovile Grigiene new Chairman of the Board and Head of Administration of the Lithuanian subsidiary. Formally, D. Grigiene will assume the role when the permission from the Bank of Lithuania is granted.

Dovile Grigiene has more than 13 years of professional financial experience in banking, brokerage, asset and wealth management fields in the U.S. and the Baltic States. D. Grigiene joined Swedbank in January 2013, and presently holds the position of Head of Private Banking. Dovile’s academic background includes a MBA in Finance.

Until June 2013 Swedbank Lithuania was led by Antanas Danys, who then decided to leave the position. After that the position of acting CEO was hold by Marius Adomavicius, CFO of Swedbank Lithuania. Marius Adomavicius will continue in the position until formal approval from the Bank of Lithuania.

The acting head of Swedbank Private Banking will be Eimantas Virsila.
