OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2013. Ukraine intends to develop relations with Russia and after the expected signing of the Association Agreement and FTA with the EU too. The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko said this in an interview with the Inter TV channel.

"I quote one of the leaders of Russian Government: life is not over in November. We will have to build a relationship based on those realities that arise after the signing of a free trade area with the EU. Russia is our commodity market, and we are for it – market of services in the first place - financial services, there are a lot of Russian banks in Ukraine. We are connected, and in no way there is a question that we turned these connections, at least for our initiative," he said.

Vice Prime Minister noted that the Government is working to settle issues with partners in the MS. Specifically, a meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic issues will be held on October 15, which will consider sectoral cooperation.

"Prime Ministers will hold meetings in Kaluga on October 15. I hope that we will come to the signing specific contracts, it will be an example of sectoral cooperation," Yuriy Boyko said.

He expressed confidence that relations with Russia will do the Ukrainian economy good.

"European counterparts should not have any reason to doubt that Ukraine is consistent in an effort to sign Association Agreement in Vilnius. On the other hand, sectoral cooperation, which we do with Russia, is very important. These are jobs, taxes and the enterprise. That is why we are here will be consistent," Yuriy Boyko said.

As an example of promising areas of sectoral cooperation with Russia Vice Prime Minister named aerospace industry.
