OREANDA-NEWS. The SKOLKOVO business school Energy Centre has become a partner of Unconventional Oil & EOR Russia Forum. The Forum will take place on December 3-4 at Marriott Grand; it will be organized by Adam Smith Conferences with the expert support of the SKOLKOVO Energy Centre.

The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO's experts - Grigory Vygon, Head of the SKOLKOVO Energy Centre, Jean-Marc Soucy, Head of the Schlumberger Project Management Chair - as well as more than 40 speakers will participate in the event. All the speakers represent major Russian and world players of the oil branch and have vast experience in unconventional Oil & EOR.

“The conference will become a platform for discussion of perspectives and strategic directions of development of tight oil in Russia”, Grigory Vygon comments. “The participants will have an opportunity to get to know the authorities' opinion, assess the country's long-term strategy in the field of fostering tight oil resources development, find out the latest status of new technologies development and successful examples from all over the world, in particular, North America and Brazil, compare forecast on unconventional oil production in different economic conditions”.

The Forum comprises eight information sessions, strategic debates and interactive discussions. The participants are to compare the Bazhenovskaya measure and the Bakken formation, analyze an opportunity map of tight oil resources development in Russia and pilot projects within Achimovskaya stratum, Bazhenovskaya, Abalakskaya, Khadumskaya, Domanikovskaya and Tumen measures. They will also discuss plans of major oil companies in the field of unconventional oil resources development and opportunities for reforming tax regulations.
