OREANDA-NEWS. SAI Global (Canada) certified Khartsyzsk Pipe's integrated management system for compliance with interna-tional standards ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001.

The three certificates are valid until 2016: quality management system (ISO 9001), labor protection and safety management system (OHSAS 18001), and environment management system (ISO 14001).

“These certificates confirm that the enterprise manufactures high-quality products according to international standards, is competitive in the manufacturing industry in domestic and international markets, and is evidence of the reliability and high professional level of the enterprise,” said Pavel Uzbek, acting general director of Khartsyzsk Pipe.

The auditors noted improvements in the maturity of enterprise-wide purchasing procedures and document storage, among other things.

“I have been visiting Khartsyzsk Pipe for 10 years,” said Ken McCuiag, lead auditor of SAI Global. “I can say that it has consistently improved and it is a fact that there have been no discrepancies with international quality standards identified during this period. Competent implementation of the system allows Khartsyzsk Pipe to have many advantages, including the opportunity to participate in international tenders for the right to supply its products.”

Khartsyzsk Pipe's products and management system have been certified by accreditation organizations including the American Petroleum Institute (US), SAI Global (Canada), Zetom Research and Certification Institute (Poland), State Enterprise Vniti-Test (Ukraine), Tuv Nord Ukraine, and Russian Register (Russia). The plant has had an integrated management system since 2004.
