OREANDA-NEWS.  October 11, 2013. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Altai province (Altai OFAS) initiated a case against “Grana “CJSC, “Tretyakovsky Elevator” CJSC, “Korotoyaksky Elevator” CJSC, “Tabunsky Elevator” CJSC and “Krasnoschekovskoye Grain-Collecting Station” OJSC upon signs of unreasonably reducing prices for wheat grain.

According to the current data available to OFAS, in September 2013 the grain mills fixed and maintained monopolistically low purchasing prices for 3rd grade wheat grain in breach of Part 1 Article 10 of No.135-FZ Federal Law "On Protection of Competition”.

The case is scheduled for 18th October 2013. Currently Altai OFAS is conducting an antimonopoly investigation. “Should the OFAS Commission confirm the fact of fixing and maintaining monopolistically low purchasing prices, measures of antimonopoly control will be applied in full to the grain-processing companies”, summed up the Head of Altai OFAS, Stepan Pospelov.
