OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2013. Autocomponents Division of GAZ Group, part of Basic Element, one of the Russia’s largest diversified industrial groups, will participate in the 55th International Engineering Fair, MSV-2013. More than 100 samples of GAZ’s metallurgical, forged and other autocomponent products will be displayed.

The majority of GAZ’s exhibition will be samples of iron casting: brake disks, engine crankshafts and camshafts, as well as non-automotive castings of construction elements (electric line insulator bodies), components for road improvements (water drainage grates and water catch pit iron steps), railroad transport elements (rail wagon brake system components and railroad track fixtures).

Together with the iron castings there will be high-accuracy aluminum alloy cast vehicle components (and also elements of industrial lighting fixtures, electric tools and others) and forged products (steel forgings, produced using the hot forging method, of various shapes, weights and manufacturing complexity).

The exhibition will give Fair visitors a clear idea of the key products of GAZ Group’s Autocomponents Division, which is one of the major players in the Russian autocomponent market. By developing component production through the modernization of production facilities and mastering of new technologies GAZ  has become a supplier to a number of domestic and foreign automakers which have localized their production in Russia (Sollers, Volkswagen Group Rus, PCMA Rus and others) and a partner of global autocomponent manufacturers (Bosal, Bulten and Magnetto Wheels).

Commenting on the upcoming Fair Kirill Epshteyn, Director of Autocomponent Division of GAZ Group, said “Participation in the MSV-2013 will allow us to demonstrate to the industrial markets of Europe the technological capabilities of GAZ in relation to the production of autocomponents of international standards. The Fair guests will see that GAZ, which traditionally specializes in the production of vehicles, has a wide range of capabilities to satisfy the component demand of companies in the automotive industry, as well as other branches of industry. We have taken up strong positions in the Russian market, started to work with global companies and now we are taking a step towards Europe with a desire to actively develop our cooperation with foreign partners”.
