Tele2 and MasterCard Issue Instrument for Online Shopping
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, and MasterCard international payment system have issued a safe and convenient instrument for online shopping – Tele2 MasterCard® virtual card.
Tele2 MasterCard lets owner spend up to 15 thou rubles to pay goods and services online and is connected to Tele2 subscriber’s mobile account. To deposit funds onto the virtual card, the user has to top up his mobile account.
A new virtual card will be appreciated by subscribers who have no bank account and by those who have it but avoid shopping online for safety reasons.
Tele2 subscriber may file application for the card’s issue by any comfortable way – at mycard.tele2.ru, by texting the word “card” to 338 (toll-free) or by using mobile portal *338# especially created for the comfort of users.
An easy-to-use Tele2 MasterCard application for smartphone users let not only issue the card but also check the history and balance, manage personal settings and request CVC2 (a three-digit number used for the card verification). The application is already available to OC Android users and will soon appear in App Store.
To buy applications in Google Play, App Store and make payments through PayPal it is enough to register the card and CVC2 once, which allows making further payment without typing in CVC2.
Advantages of Tele2 MasterCard virtual card:
• Safety: CVC2 sent as SMS is valid for one purchase during one hour. The card gets blocked after three attempts with a wrong code typed in.
• Simplicity and convenience: user gets SMS with the card’s info and a status of payments. The card’s number is easy to remember as it includes mobile phone numbers. The card’s balance is available at short number *104#.
