OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 700 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) (U.S. USD 77.093 million at the NBB rate) in January-August 2013, or 0.2% of GDP, the Finance Ministry said in a release.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 69.2 trillion rubles (USD 7.621 billion) in January-August 2013, or 56.7% of the target for the whole year.

Republican budget expenditures reached 68.5 trillion rubles (USD 7.544 billion), 55.9% of the target for 2013.

Revenues from the value-added tax amounted to 37.4 trillion rubles (USD 4.119 billion, 63.3% of the year target), from income tax - Br14.9 trillion (USD 1.641 million, 52.7%), excises - Br10.6 trillion (USD 1.167 billion, 64.8%), from foreign economic activities 16.3 trillion rubles (USD 1.195 billion), 54.8% of the target.

Revenues of the Labour and Welfare Ministry's social security fund (SSF) are estimated at Br50.3 trillion (USD 5.54 billion, 71.9%).

Tax arrears totalled Br152.9 billion (USD 16.839 million), down by Br36.7 billion (USD 4.042 million) as of September 1, 2013.

Revenues of the state administration budget (republican budget, local budgets and SSF) totalled Br173.5 trillion in Jan-Aug 2013 (USD 19.108 billion), 63.6% of the adjusted annual plan; expenditures - Br167.8 trillion (USD 18.48 billion, 61.7%). The surplus of the state administration budget totalled Br5.7 trillion (USD 627.753 million), 1.5% of the GDP.
