OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine was the venue for signing of a Financial and project agreement on the grant in the amount of Eur 7 mln between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (represented by the Ministry of Social Policy), the German bank KfW and also Ukrainian fund of social investments with participation of Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Germany.

The German Government through the development bank KfW broadens a joint project "Facilitating the development of social infrastructure" and gives Eur 7 mln of grant funds for the projects of reconstruction of objects of social infrastructure in rural areas of Ukraine.

A new phase of the project will be realized in Lviv, Vinnytsya and Kirovohrad regions. In the frames of the project there have been planned events in reconstruction of objects of social infrastructure, schools and kindergardens, institutions of basic medical services, public centers, water supply and wastewater systems.

Introduction of investments will be carried out by the Ukrainian fund of social investments. The project envisages co-financing to the tune of 20% on the part of local communities and 80% by KfW.

"Signing of today's agreement with our German partners will afford to continue cooperation concerning the development of social infrastructure in Ukraine. For us prolonging of cooperation is, in the first place, introduction of new standards and European quality in rendering services in social area. Our target is to achieve that every citizen of Ukraine who needs help could obtain qualitative social services," Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Nataliya Korolevska said.

"With the support of FRG we would like by means of raising responsibility, improvement of rendering services area and energy-efficient management to assist to Ukrainian communities in the process of approaching with the European standards," Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Germany Christof Weil noted.
