OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' foreign trade surplus amounted to U.S. USD 125.3 million in January-August 2013, compared to a USD 4.003 billion surplus in January-August 2012, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

The overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 60.008 billion in January-August 2013, down 13.8% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services reduced 18.6% to USD 29.942 billion, and imports decreased 10.2% to USD 27.254 billion.

Belarus ended up with a commodity trade deficit in January-August 2013, which reached USD 1.966 billion to compare with a USD 2.445 billion surplus in January-August 2012.
