OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines - key partner of Moscow Domodedovo Airport - became the most punctual airline following the results of the most punctual airlines contest held in September 2013. Among the most punctual airlines there were Rossiya, Saratov Airlines, Pskovavia, Lufthansa, Dniproavia, Singapore Airlines. And for the first time, Germania entered the winners' circle which started to operate flights from Domodedovo in May 2013.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport sums up the most punctual airlines contest on a monthly basis in eight categories - depending on frequency of flights and passenger traffic. In September, Transaero traditionally became the winner in the first category as it operated 1453 on-time flights. Rossiya demonstrated the best results in the second category as it operated 215 flights without delays. Saratov Airlines headed the third contest category and had 145 punctual flights. Pskovavia operated 13 flights without delays in the first autumn month and gained the palm of victory in the fourth category.

Foreign airlines, partners of Domodedovo, are evaluated in a separate group. Lufthansa became the most punctual airline in the fifth category - it operated 192 on-time flights. Dniproavia operated 82 on-time flights and headed the sixth category. Leadership in the seventh and eighth categories went to Singapore Airlines (41 punctual flights) and Germania (13 punctual flights), respectively.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been holding the most punctual airlines contest over a period of 6 years. The number of Russian and foreign airlines-partners increased by more than one third during these years. Airlines participate in the contest with great interest willing to maintain a high level of passenger services.

As of early October 2013, 84 airlines operate flights to 240 domestic and international destinations from Domodedovo Airport, 84 out of which are unique for the Moscow aviation hub.
