OREANDA-NEWS. Brunswick Rail is pleased to initiate a competition among students at railway universities in Russia to win a grant provided by the company. This competition is a part of Brunswick Rail’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts. Universities to take part in the competition include the Moscow State Railway University, the St Petersburg State Railway University, the Siberian State Railway University and also the Krasnodar Institute of Rail Transport.

The competition is intended for second to fifth-year full-time students that have top marks in any of the following areas of specialisation:

Railcars
Rolling stock (with a particular specialisation in locomotives, railcars or the technology of railcar production and maintenance)
Rail transportation
Rail track operation (including for passenger, freight and industrial transportation)
As part of the competition, candidates are required to submit essays on topics provided by the jury. The essays are judged according to content, style, delivery and level of interest demonstrated by each student. Competition winners will be given a grant of 10,000 rubles per month for the 2013-2014 academic year.
