OREANDA-NEWS. European integration course of our country is supported by almost all political forces and civil society in Ukraine and the presence of differences in dealing with certain issues does not preclude joint action towards association with the EU. This was started by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov during a meeting in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule.

“I'm confident that activation of our bilateral dialogue with the European Union will remove all obstacles on the way to the signing of the Association Agreement. Ukraine is exerting efforts to make progress on all criteria of the signing of the document,” Serhiy Arbuzov said.

Among the main priorities: improving election laws, reform of the justice system, fighting corruption, improving the business climate, the implementation of the Association Agenda.

“We are adware the volume of works that must be performed. This set of reforms in the years ahead. But I want to emphasize that the reform process has become irreversible,” the First Vice Prime Minister assured.

He added that Ukraine expects on a positive decision of the EU Council on the signing of the Agreement and determination of its provisional applications.

Serhiy Arbuzov is also sure that another important priority for Ukraine with the relation with EU is the successful promotion of visa-free dialogue. From July 1 amendments to some agreement on visa facilitation entered into force and it was another step toward achieving the strategic goal - introducing by the EU of visa-free regime for Ukraine.

“The Government together with the Verkhovna Rada conducts active work on this,” Serhiy Arbuzov stressed.
