OREANDA-NEWS. ABH MIRATORG, the leading processor of meat market in Russia, plans to increase the supply of pork to Hong Kong by 2,5 times year on year to 3838 ton in 2013.

The company's long-term strategy implies the increase of production of high-quality national meat to substitute imported products in Russian market and expansion to non-CIS countries.

The Company first supplied pork to Asian market at the end of 2011 and currently is one of the largest Russian pork exporters to this region. The volume of supply to Hong Kong gradually grows: 752 tons in the first half-year period of 2012, 953 tons in the first half-year period of 2013, with 2885 tons planned for the second half-year period of 2013.

"We see potential in Asian markets: Vietnam, China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia. There's good demand for large scale of pork processing products, including those of low demand in Russia. We may start supply as soon as obtain a permission from the veterinary services of the countries we want to export our products to. As for today we're working on this issue in cooperation with Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance and Ministry of Agriculture", - ABH MIRATORG CEO, Viktor Linnik said.
