OREANDA-NEWS. Transparency International (TI), an international anti-corruption organization has listed MMC Norilsk Nickel among the top most transparent companies in Russia.

In mid-October 2013 Transparency International ranked 100 fastest-growing companies across 16 developing markets. The ranking is based on anti-corruption policies, transparency in reporting organizational structure and key financials reported in countries of operations.

Seventy five percent of the companies representing developing markets have scored under 5 out of 10 on scale, where 0 stands for the lowest and 10 for the highest transparency.

Indian telecommunications company Tata Communications headlines the list with a score of 7.1 points. Other Russian companies in the ranking include UC Rusal, Gazprom and Severstal.

Transparency International is an international anti-corruption NGO and monitor in international development. The company was founded in 1993 in Berlin by a former World Bank director, Peter Eigen. The company's offices are currently spread across over 100 countries.
