OREANDA-NEWS. Sergei Abramov, the head of the Directorate of Railway Stations, a branch of Russian Railways, has signed a number of cooperation agreements on the development of Russian station complexes and transport interchange hubs. The documents were signed at Moscow's Kazan station on 17 October 2013 during the IV international conference on railways stations “Next Station 2013”, which was organised by Russian Railways in partnership with the International Union of Railways.

The cooperation agreement concluded with the Inter-Regional Association of Socio-Economic Cooperation, the “Central Federal District”, envisages the establishment of targeted programmes financed from budgets at different levels, as well as cooperation in attracting private investors, investment funds and banks to projects to develop transport interchange hubs in Moscow.

The Agreement on Strategic Cooperation signed with the Group of Companies “Corporation GazEnergoStroy” by the company President Sergey Chernin provides for the signatories to modernise infrastructure and energy supplies at Russian Railways' station complexes, including the introduction of innovative triple generation technologies (heat, electricity and cold supplies) and the parallel recycling of biological and solid waste. Under the Agreement, a pilot project will be implemented to construct a triple generation unit with an estimated capacity of 12.9 MW on the site of the existing boiler house on Komsomolskaya Square in Moscow.

The Memorandum of Cooperation concluded with Gaztechleasing provides for the implementation of a set of measures necessary to realise joint investment projects using financial leases.

According to a memorandum from the Trinity Development Group Inc. (Canada) which was signed by Dominic Gualtieri, a member of Trinity's Board of Directors, Canadian partners will invest in projects to develop transport hubs at commercial real estate properties in Moscow and regions of Russia.
