OREANDA-NEWS. On 22nd October 2013, the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Chuvashia (Chuvashia OFAS Russia) fined “Kommunalnie Tekhnologii” Ltd. over 1.6 million Rubles for busing market dominance.

The case was initiated upon a petition from a Cheboksary resident that “Kommunalnie Tekhnologii” Ltd. avoided a contract for technological connection and failed to issue technical conditions for connecting electric power receivers in two no-residential premises.

Chuvashia OFAS Russia warned “Kommunalnie Tekhnologii” Ltd. to stop violating the antimonopoly law; the company, however, ignored it. For this reason Chuvashia OFAS Russia initiated a case against the violator.

Investigating the case, the Commission of the antimonopoly body found that the claim of the Cheboksary resident was adequate and imposed a turnover fine upon “Kommunalnie Tekhnologii” Ltd. - 4.5% of the company's income from selling goods on the market where the violation was committed. The violator shall have to pay over 1.6 million Rubles.
